95% of what I read is fiction, so when I come across a good nonfiction book, I'm always pleased. I think my favorite would have to be Miles,
Miles Davis' autobiography written with Quincy Troupe. You don't have to be a fan to enjoy it; the guy led an amazing life on many levels, and we get
details on all the great and terrible things he did and was. Just the stories he had to tell would knock you right out; he saw & did more wild shit in an
average day than I'll do in my lifetime. He was a major egotist, and it shows, but he also openly admits to his numerous bad qualities. I highly
recommend it to pretty much anybody, although sensitive types should be aware it's pretty vulgar.
